Cable & Cotton brings you a product full of colour and allows you to be creative in the choice of colour used – it’s a fully customisable way to bring light, colour, fun and style to any home.

The ‘Cable’ aspect of our product is a transparent string of either 20 bulbs (length of lamps 140cm) or 35 bulbs (length of lamps 240cm), with both sizes complete with an additional 150cm length of cable between the plug and first lamp.

There is also an added 50 bulb option for our Pick Your Own string lights, which has a lamp length of 340cm and the usual 150cm length between the plug and first lamp.

The handicraft method of wrapping thread around a balloon with a special mix including natural gum and then leaving them to dry before removing the balloon gives every ball a beautiful unique quality. An added advantage to our string lights is that if one bulb goes, the remaining lights stay lit, making it quick and easy to locate and change it with one of the provided replacement bulbs.

Each order arrives in a cool packaging box, along with the string lights and an instruction leaflet. Because it doesn’t come pre-assembled you can choose the order of the colours, so it really is your own design!

And, as orders are sent out using your choice of next day delivery for orders placed by 12pm (by courier) or Royal Mail (2-3 working days), you won’t have to wait more than 3 days for your order; great for that last minute present!

Our Site

Our site really couldn’t be simpler to use. There are two main sections to help you create and choose the perfect cotton light combination.

The Pre-selected page offers a selection of popular colour combinations, which come in either 20 or 35 lights. From bright to neutral pre-selected colour ways, this is the quickest way to buy the perfect string lights for your home.

The Pick Your Own page is even better, offering all our customers the chance to design and create their own indoor lights. With an added option of 50 lights, as well as the standard 20 and 35 lights, it really allows you to get creative. You simply select and de-select on the colours you like the look of, and a live pro-type appears on the page so you know exactly how the colours work together. Once you’re happy, just click ‘Buy’ and you’re taken to the SagePay SSL Secured checkout facility.

If you’d like a different colour combination (our colour selector mixes all the colours you choose evenly) then just e-mail or call us to let us know the colours you’d like and exact numbers of each, and we will contact you to confirm and take payment.

Our Ethics

Our string lights are hand-made by skilled Thai workers, and in buying our decorative lights, you are helping to support an entire community of women in a remote southern region of Thailand.

We take pride in their working conditions, where their environment is in the fresh, open air. We only use natural cotton and natural gum, and each and every light is hand-made. So with Cable & Cotton’s decorative lighting, you can give your home and your heart that feel good factor!
